Khysie Horn

Khysie brought her deep love of art and her pragmatic entrepreneurial know-how to us in helping to create Art for Life 18 years ago. She turned personal losses from AIDS into personal action at her Quicksilver Gallery's "Day Without Art" which spread awareness of how the epidemic has affected the art community.

Mary Zimmerman

In response to her deep and abiding faith, Mary answered the question "What would Jesus do?" by chossing to become an emotional support volunteer. She has ongoingly put her clients' well being above her own and is a much loved and appreciated buddy. She has been recognized as a Volunteer of the Year.

Ruben Carrillo

Ruben has been a passionate advocate for culturally sensitive services for the Latino community. He has done emotional and practical support, taught prevention education, provided translation and interpretation services, and is a member of the Sonoma County Commission on AIDS. In 1992, he co-founded the Latino Support Group which is still going strong today.

Michelle Sudina and Marvin

Michelle agreed to a 6-month commitment as an emotional support volunteer. Twelve years later, she is still with Marvin. Michelle says, "As a volunteer I've been allowed the opportunity to share in the life of this wonderful human being as he journeys through his path of lving with HIV. Days have gone into years and love, inspiraton, and challenges are a daily part of Marvin's journey." She is also the undisputed best raffle ticket seller we know.
